Organic Spelt Pillow

The Organic Spelt Pillow is a lightweight and purely plant-based pillow filled with 100% organic spelt husks. Spelt husks are the hollow, dried husks that surround the spelt grain. Thanks to their hollow structure, they breathe excellently, retain heat well, and conform softly to the head, neck, and shoulders. The Organic Spelt Pillow provides a natural and pleasant sleep climate that feels comfortable both in winter and summer.

Spelt husks have a traditionally high silica content, which is beneficial for the body and overall well-being. The Organic Spelt Pillow is completely plant-based and therefore also suitable for vegans.

Spelt husks, what makes them special?

Spelt husks have been known for centuries as a pillow material due to their unique properties. The hollow husks ensure constant air circulation within the pillow, effectively dissipating heat and moisture. Spelt husks also easily conform to the contours of the head, neck, and shoulders, providing a pleasant and supportive position. Since the spelt husks are free of grain and contain only the husks, the Organic Spelt Pillow is lightweight and comfortable to use.

Adjustable height

De hoogte van het Biologisch Speltkussen kan eenvoudig worden aangepast door een deel van de vulling via de rits te verwijderen. Zo stelt u de hoogte en stevigheid af op uw persoonlijke slaaphouding en voorkeur. Bij de volledige vulling heeft het kussen een hoogte van 10 cm (gladde hoes) of 11 cm (doorgestikte hoes).

Cover options

The Organic Spelt Pillow is available in two options:

• Smooth cover: a thin cover made of 100% organic cotton kbA, GOTS, percale. Height: 10 cm.
• Quilted cover: a thicker, quilted cover made of 100% organic cotton kbA, GOTS, percale, with a backing layer of 300 g/m² and underside of organic cotton tricot. Height: 11 cm.

Both variants feature a zipper and are machine washable at 60 °C.

Use and Care

The cover of the Organic Spelt Pillow is machine washable at 60 °C. The spelt husk filling is not suitable for the washing machine. By regularly shaking the pillow, the filling redistributes evenly and the pillow retains its optimal height and shape. Airing it out is recommended to support the fresh and breathable properties of the spelt husk filling.

Standard shipping is included in the price. Each product is individually made-to-order. We do not keep stock, but manufacture each product especially for you, with the materials and dimensions you choose. Please allow for a standard production and delivery time of approximately two weeks.
